A Customer’s Story: A Stolen Subaru Comes Home
This stolen car detailing Melbourne job began with a stressful phone call for one of our customers. Her Subaru had been stolen about two weeks earlier. Then the police called to say they had found it.
She went to a holding yard in Wyndham to collect her car. When she saw it, she found damaged windows, missing number plates, and shattered glass scattered all through the inside. There was also rubbish, bottles, loose belongings, and dirt left behind from when the car was missing.
The customer lived in Prahran and was already near our Truganina location. She asked if she could leave the Subaru with us by prior arrangement. She was understandably upset and still needed to organise replacement glass and new number plates before she could take the car home.

Helping With the Window Repair
The customer asked if her chosen automotive-glass company could replace the damaged windows at the same location. We were happy to help. We gave the technician a suitable working area and access to electricity. This meant the customer didn’t have to move the damaged car between locations on an already difficult day.
Our team also welcomed her and offered tea and snacks while we made the arrangements. She later thanked us for the hospitality and support.
The Subaru’s Condition Before Detailing
After the replacement glass was installed, we carried out a closer inspection of the Subaru’s interior. Broken safety glass was found around the driver’s area, front passenger floor, rear footwells and seating areas. The amount of debris meant the vehicle needed more than a standard clean, so thorough interior car detailing was required to remove the remaining glass and restore the cabin.
The exterior also needed attention following the theft, vehicle recovery and window replacement. Our exterior detailing addressed the areas affected during the recovery and repair process, helping bring the outside of the vehicle back to a cleaner condition.
As both the interior and exterior required detailed attention, we completed full car detailing tailored to the Subaru’s condition rather than treating it as a routine maintenance clean.
